**Auf dem Weg von Ometepe nach San Juan del Sur**

Ometepe is the bigest Volcanic Island in Nicaragua and means* two montains* because of the two volcanos located on the island called Concepción and Maderas, in which the last eruption of the first volcano was in 1957, but the volcano remains in activity with 

a smoking crater that you can watch  almost from every where on the island.

The 24.120 people on this island works in agriculture, cattle rasing, mining of iron, lead and limestone.

This island is located into the Nicaraguan Lake or *freshwater ocean* called by spanish people and pirates, who arrives long time ago in order to take control of the Nicaraguan villages.

Traveling on a ferry heading to San Juan del Sur searching for the Pacifc ocean it is posible to see every where how the local people face the day to day to bring food to their homes, on land or from the water resourses.

The Nicaraguan Lake is the secound largest freshwater lake in latinamerica after the Titicaca lake in the Andes, the high minerals resourses of minerals coming from the rivers that ends up in the lake create a enormous source of live for the local that obtains many benefits from.

Finaly when you arrive to San Juan del Sur beach, a beatiful bay gives you the welcome with many local places where you can find your best wiew on the beach to watch the wonderful sun sets with a local beer or a cocktail on your hands.

At night you can enjoy, dinner with a wiew to the ocean as well like during the day you can do the differents tours around the area or to walk to the hightest peack where the statue from a Christ has on his feet a Amaizing wiew of the whole coast.
